The health and safety of our patients is our utmost priority and we are committed to continuing to provide care during times of transmission of COIVD-19 in the community.
Our Goal
- Everyone who requires medical attention will receive care in the safest possible way according to current SA Health guidelines.
- Each patient’s needs will be assessed on a case-by-case basis to ensure the safety of patients and staff is maintained.
What we will do
We will continue to protect our patients, the doctors and our staff from a possible exposure to COVID-19 by putting in place a number of measures in line with SA Health’s COVID-19 Exposure Risk Assessment. These will include:
- Assessing risk to patients, doctors and staff based on the type of appointment, symptoms and vaccination status
- Triaging of all patients
- Seeing patients in our dedicated isolation room (as assessed by the doctor)
- Providing all patients with a surgical mask and hand sanitiser
- Limiting the number of non-essential visitors
- Maintaining social distancing rules at all times
- Providing Telehealth appointments to reduce non-essential face-to-face contact
What you can do to help us
Please be patient with us and help to reduce the spread of COVID-19 so that we can continue to provide healthcare to you when needed.
- We will be asking the same questions each time you make an appointment and attend an appointment. You will be asked to show proof of your COVID-19 vaccination certificate, any recent COVID -19 swab result and QR check in tick. This is to help staff and doctor’s triage, assess transmission risk and put in place additional measures to protect you, other patients, the doctors and our staff.
- Anyone who is unwell with a cold, cough, runny nose, sore throat, shortness of breath or unexplained loss of smell or taste must get tested immediately for COVID-19 and isolate until the result is back. If a doctor’s appointment is needed, this can be assessed through our clinic, the use of telehealth +/- additional PPE for staff and patients may be required for this setting. If you have had a negative COVID-19 test in the past 72 hours but have ongoing respiratory symptoms and require further medical assistance, please inform our staff so that a consultation can be arranged with appropriate PPE and distancing from other vulnerable patients.
- When you attend for your appointment, we require you to wear a surgical mask (we will provide one if needed) and hand sanitise your hands upon entry and exit of the practice
- Use the QR code upon arrival to the practice
- Limit the number of non-essential visitors to the practice, where possible come on your own, if you require a support person, we ask you bring one person only. For children we ask that one parent attend the appointment and no siblings (where possible)
Everyone at Regency Medical Clinic would like to thank you in helping us keep everyone safe from COVID-19 so we can ensure that we are able to provide ongoing healthcare to all of our patients.
