Telehealth

Telehealth allows a person to make an appointment to speak to their GP via telephone in
their home while they undergo self-isolation or quarantine.

Persons who will be bulk billed for this service include;
+ concession card holders
+ children under 16 years old
+ patients who are more vulnerable to COVID-19 including people who are;
– at least 70 years Old
– identify as being of Aboriginal or Torres Strait Islander decent and are over 50 years of age
– pregnant
– the parent of a child under 12 months
– being treated for a chronic health condition
– immune-compromised

Persons who do not meet the above criteria are Still able to book a Telehealth consult but
may be charged a gap for this service.

Winter 2020

Regency Medical has been closely monitoring the COVID-19 situation and the current
government health and safety requirements.

As Of Friday 5/6/2020, we will have limited seating available in the waiting room for patients
who are unable to drive and instead arrive by taxi, walking or by bus. We request strict
adherence to the 1.5m social distancing rule within the waiting room. Due to the required
regular cleaning, if you need to use the bathroom, please advise reception.

When travelling to the clinic via car, we ask you to phone reception on arrival to let us know
you are here. You will then be required to wait in your vehicle until you receive a phone call
that the doctor is ready to see you.

Before entering the building, you will be asked some questions as well as having your
temperature checked. These measures may come across as extreme, but they are required
at this time to keep everyone safe.

From Friday, we will also be accepting CARD ONLY payments at reception. please remain
behind the red line and on the “X” marked on the floor. When lining up, please ensure you
are waiting 1.5m behind the “X”. If you are advised that there is no gap payment required for your visit, you do not need to sign at reception. The doctor will guide you to exit the
building.

Telehealth appointments are still available and can be booked online via HotDoc or by
phoning our clinic direct.

Please keep in mind that Regency Medical at Prospect continues to remain closed at this
time until further notice.

We would like to thank our community once again for continued patience and support in
these changing times!
